About Me

I guess you could say my love for celebrities began in the 1950's.  I was living in Michigan and that's where I met my first actor.  The rodeo came to town and Hugh O'Brian, the star of the very popular TV show Wyatt Earp, was the main attraction.  I was there with my family, and after the rodeo we stood in line to meet and shake the hand of this very popular actor of the 50's.  I remember that he reminded me a lot of my dad.  In fact, my dad was often mistaken for Hugh O'Brian.

  • In 1956 a neighbor of ours took my sister, Camille and I to see Elvis.  That was our first concert of which there would be many to follow.  The crowd was wild and screaming so loud that we left before the show ended, but hey I was only 9 years old and not a big fan of Elvis at that point.

  • The next celebrity sighting would be at an amusement park where my sister and I saw Vince Edwards in 1962.  Vince Edwards played a doctor on the very popular TV show Ben Casey.  We didn't get to meet him but we waved to him and he waved back.

  • California here we come.  Our next big adventure was our move to California in 1962 and of course, the celebrity sightings and encounters continued.  Yeah we saw a lot of 60's bands.  We saw the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Animals, Herman's Hermits and the Doors, just to name a few.  My sister and I were also lucky enough to be invited to a Beatles Press Conference on August 31, 1965.  What a thrill that was!  We also traveled to England with the hope of meeting PauI, our favorite Beatle.  We went to his house in London but the postman said we just missed him.  I even dated a guy in a popular S.F. Bay Area band.  His name was Sean Tolby of the Chocolate Watchband.  It was an exciting time.

As far as the 60's go, I have photos of some local bands and the very well known band the Animals.  I also have some poor quality 8mm movies of the Beatles (press conference and concert) and Herman's Hermits.  However, more recently I have photos of Peter Noone and Eric Burdon among others.  Check out my Photo Gallery.
